First Aid in Schools
Having delivered FAW courses to 3 Education and Library Boards for over 3 years we at Harberry Training are well aware of school first aid needs.
This course is designed with teachers and ancillary staff in mind and deals with first aid emergencies in the school context. The course can be delivered on an exceptional closure day.

Course Benefits
This course enables those in the school environment, who do not hold FAW, to deal with an emergency first aid situation until the arrival of a more qualified member of staff.
This has proven to be very beneficial during break and meal times and also on excursions outside the school.
Course Contents Include:
- Scene Safety
- Adult and child CPR
- Recovery Position
- Choking
- Control of Bleeding
- Burns and Scalds
- Anaphylaxis
- Asthma
- Seizures
Length of Course
1 Day – max. 12 person
Course Certification:
Continuous assessment of candidates skills will take place throughout the course and on successful completion candidates will be awarded a certificate in Emergency First Aid, which is valid for 3 years.
